Praṇava-Māhātmya and the Twofold Mantra (Sūkṣma–Sthūla) in Śaiva Sādhanā

गुरूपदेशं संगम्य सुखवासे सुभूतले । पूर्वपक्षे समारभ्य कृष्णभूतावधि द्विजाः

gurūpadeśaṃ saṃgamya sukhavāse subhūtale | pūrvapakṣe samārabhya kṛṣṇabhūtāvadhi dvijāḥ

Nachdem sie die Unterweisung des Guru empfangen haben, sollen die Zweimalgeborenen in einer angenehmen Wohnstätte auf glückverheißendem Boden verweilen und die Observanz in der hellen Monatshälfte beginnen, sie bis zum Neumondtag fortsetzend (amāvasyā).
