Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
The verse teaches that Rudra-smaraṇa (remembering Śiva) is itself a potent sādhana: devotion draws the Lord’s śakti and protective presence, symbolized by the immediate appearance of the gaṇa-lords who embody Śaṅkara’s nature.
In Saguna worship, Śiva is approached through name, form, and remembrance; the verse emphasizes that even mental worship (smaraṇa) invokes Śaṅkara’s manifest aspect—akin to contemplating the Liṅga with the awareness that Śiva’s living presence and attendants pervade the rite.
Practice daily Rudra-smaraṇa through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) or Rudra-nāma, paired with steady dhyāna on Śaṅkara; as a supportive observance, wear Rudrākṣa and apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) while maintaining remembrance.
