Protocol of Tapas, Mantra-Japa, and Śiva-Dhyāna
bhajatāṃ sarvabhāvena duḥkhaṃ svapne'pi no bhavet | yadā kadācijjāyeta tadā karmasamudbhavam

It teaches that single-pointed, wholehearted devotion to Lord Shiva protects the devotee from mental anguish; any residual pain is explained as the momentum of prior karma, not the failure of Shiva’s grace.
Linga-worship is a Saguna support for focusing the entire mind on Shiva; when worship is done with sarvabhāva (total surrender), the devotee’s inner suffering subsides, and remaining experiences are understood as karmic residues.
Practice wholehearted Shiva-bhakti through daily Panchakshara japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with steady Linga-dhyāna; accept occasional difficulties as karma and continue worship with faith and detachment.
