Kirātāvatāra, Durvāsā-upākhyāna, and the Logic of Divine Rescue

निश्चयेनैव गच्छेतु दारिद्यं दुःखकारणम् । महतां च स्वभावोयं कल्पवृक्षसमो मतः

niścayenaiva gacchetu dāridyaṃ duḥkhakāraṇam | mahatāṃ ca svabhāvoyaṃ kalpavṛkṣasamo mataḥ

Durch festen Entschluss wird die Armut, die zur Ursache des Leidens wird, gewiss vertrieben. So ist die Natur der großherzigen Bhaktas—man hält sie dem Kalpavṛkṣa gleich, dem wunscherfüllenden Baum, stets geneigt, Not zu lindern und Beistand zu gewähren.
