उपमन्युकुमारस्य क्षीरार्थ-प्रार्थना तथा शिवप्रसाद-निबन्धनम् | Upamanyu’s Longing for Milk and the Doctrine of Shiva’s Grace
मद्भक्तो भव विप्रर्षे मामेवार्चय सर्वदा । ददामि सर्वं भद्रन्ते त्यज रुद्रं च निर्गुणम्
madbhakto bhava viprarṣe māmevārcaya sarvadā | dadāmi sarvaṃ bhadrante tyaja rudraṃ ca nirguṇam
O Bester unter den brahmanischen Weisen, werde Mein Bhakta und verehre stets Mich allein. O Edler, Ich gewähre alles; darum gib die Vorstellung auf, Rudra sei bloß nirguṇa (eigenschaftslos), und halte fest an der Verehrung Meiner verehrungswürdigen, zugänglichen Gestalt.
