Gṛhapati’s Vow: Turning Grief into Mṛtyuñjaya–Mahākāla Sādhana (गृहपतेः प्रतिज्ञा—मृत्युंजय-महाकालजपः)

अष्टाधिकसहस्रैस्तु सुमनोभिर्विनिर्मिताम् । स पक्षे वाथ वा मासे कन्दमूलफलाशनः

aṣṭādhikasahasraistu sumanobhirvinirmitām | sa pakṣe vātha vā māse kandamūlaphalāśanaḥ

Jene Girlande war aus achttausend und mehr erlesenen Blüten geflochten. Er, der sich von Knollen, Wurzeln und Früchten nährt, soll diese Observanz eine halbe Mondhälfte—oder auch einen vollen Monat—auf sich nehmen.
