Manifestation of Śiva’s Saṃhāra-Form

The verse defines “Hara” as Shiva who removes saṃsāra—cutting the pasha (bondage) and granting liberation. From a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, Shiva is Pati (the Supreme Lord) whose grace dissolves karmic bondage and leads the soul toward moksha.
Calling Shiva “Hara” supports Saguna worship of Shiva—especially in Linga form—as the accessible Lord who actively removes bondage. Linga-upasana is thus framed as a grace-centered path where the devotee approaches Hara for release from saṃsāra.
Meditate on Shiva as “Hara” while repeating the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), praying specifically for the removal of saṃsāra-bondage; this aligns with Shiva Purana devotion practices such as japa and focused contemplation on Shiva’s liberating grace.
