The Manifestation/Arising of Kāma
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: nurturing
Cosmic Event: cyclical creation (sanātanī sṛṣṭi) under concealment and guidance
It teaches that Shiva is not only the transcendent Lord but also the hidden indweller in all beings; by His grace from within, the cosmos and the soul’s welfare are sustained, pointing to Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on Pati (Lord) guiding the pashu (soul) toward liberation.
The Linga is a sacred support for focusing on Shiva’s presence; this verse complements that practice by affirming that the same Saguna Shiva worshipped outwardly is also present inwardly as the heart-dwelling Lord who empowers creation and bestows well-being.
Meditate on Shiva as Antaryamin in the heart while repeating the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating inner surrender so that His grace becomes the cause of true sukha (spiritual well-being) and purification.
