अथ सा समये कन्या युवतिः सौमिनी द्विजाः । पित्रा दत्ता च कस्मैचिद्विधिना द्विजसूनवे
atha sā samaye kanyā yuvatiḥ sauminī dvijāḥ | pitrā dattā ca kasmaicidvidhinā dvijasūnave
Dann, zu jener Zeit, wurde das Mädchen Sauminī, eine Brahmanin, nun im heiratsfähigen Alter, sanft und glückverheißend, von ihrem Vater nach dem Ritus dem Sohn eines gewissen Brahmanen gegeben.
