खनित्वा देवयजनं दण्डमात्रप्रमाणतः । प्रणवव्याहृतिभ्यां च प्रोक्ष्य चास्तीर्य्य च क्रमात्
khanitvā devayajanaṃ daṇḍamātrapramāṇataḥ | praṇavavyāhṛtibhyāṃ ca prokṣya cāstīryya ca kramāt
Nachdem man den göttlichen Altar (Ort der Verehrung) im Maß eines daṇḍa ausgehoben hat, soll man ihn mit geweihtem Wasser besprengen, indem man die Pranava „Oṁ“ samt den vyāhṛtis spricht, und dann der Reihe nach die rituelle Unterlage darauf ausbreiten.
