Paramātma-Svarūpa-Nirṇaya: Strī–Puṃ–Napuṃsaka-Vicāra
Inquiry into the Supreme Self and Gendered Forms
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
Cosmic Event: Emanation doctrine: Parāśakti → Cit-śakti → manifestation (cosmic unfolding)
It teaches that ultimate reality is not a split between God and power: Śiva (the Lord) and Śakti (His inseparable energy) are one Supreme Self, and liberation is gained by realizing this non-separation as the ground of consciousness.
Liṅga worship points to the formless Supreme (Śiva) while honoring His manifest power (Śakti); the verse supports Saguna worship as a doorway to Nirguna realization, since the Lord and His energy are affirmed as one Paramātman.
Meditate on Śiva as pure consciousness (Cit) while chanting the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” contemplating that awareness itself is Śiva-Śakti united; this supports inner stillness and the Shaiva aim of moksha.
