Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Tatpuruṣa
It highlights disciplined, guru-guided conduct in Shaiva rites: even simple actions like direction, steps, and the guru’s command cultivate obedience, purity of intention, and readiness for Shiva-centered sadhana.
Directional orientation (east/north) and measured movement are typical of temple and initiation procedures leading into Saguna Shiva worship—approaching the Linga with regulated body and mind under the ācārya’s guidance.
A formal, step-based movement used in diksha/ritual approach, performed facing auspicious directions and halted by the guru’s instruction—supporting mantra-japa focus (often alongside bhasma, rudraksha, and Panchakshara practice in broader Shaiva observance).
