युद्धाय रावणस्य निर्याणं तथा उत्पातदर्शनम्
Ravana’s Mobilization for War and the ظهور of Fatal Portents
तस्यतद्वचनंश्रुत्वामहापार्श्वोऽब्रवीद्वचः ।बलाध्यक्षान् स्थिथांस्तत्रबलंसंत्वर्यतामिति ।।6.96.22।।
tasya tad-vacanaṁ śrutvā mahāpārśvo ’bravīd vacaḥ |
balādhyakṣān sthitāṁs tatra balaṁ saṁtvaryatām iti ||6.96.22||
Als er diese Worte vernommen hatte, sprach Mahāpārśva zu den dort stehenden Heerführern: „Eilt mit den Truppen—macht das Heer unverzüglich bereit!“
On hearing the speech of Ravana, Mahaparsva enjoined the mighty leaders of the army standing there and spoke as follows.
It highlights obedience and organization in a hierarchy; ethically, the Ramayana asks whether such loyalty serves Dharma (righteous ends) or merely empowers adharma.
Mahāpārśva relays and amplifies Rāvaṇa’s command, directing the standing commanders to mobilize the army quickly.
Discipline and prompt execution of orders—virtues in administration—though their moral worth depends on the justice of the cause.
