इन्द्रजित्–लक्ष्मण संवादः तथा युद्धप्रवृत्तिः
Indrajit and Lakshmana: War-Boasts, Rebuke, and the Clash
उक्तश्चदुर्गमःपारःकार्याणांराक्षसत्वया ।।।।कार्याणांकर्मणांपारंयोगच्छति स बुद्धिमान् ।
uktaś ca durgamaḥ pāraḥ kāryāṇāṃ rākṣasa tvayā | kāryāṇāṃ karmaṇāṃ pāraṃ yo gacchati sa buddhimān || 6.88.13 ||
O Rākṣasa, du hast vom Erreichen des „fernen Ufers“ deiner Ziele gesprochen, schwer zu erlangen. Doch wahrhaft weise ist, wer seine Vorhaben durch Tat vollendet, nicht durch bloßes Gerede.
"Rakshasa! You have proclaimed that you will send me to Yama's abode and about the success in your undertakings even though it is not possible. He who is intelligent will succeed in his tasks (not in words alone).
