Kumbhakarna’s Counsel and War-Boast to Ravana
ममापनयजंदोषंविक्रमेणसमीकुरु ।यदिखल्वस्तिमेस्नेहोविक्रमंवाऽवगच्छसि ।।6.63.26।।यदिवकार्यंमेतत्तेहृदिकार्यतमंमतम् ।
mamāpanayajaṃ doṣaṃ vikrameṇa samīkuru | yadi khalv asti me sneho vikramaṃ vā ’vagacchasi ||6.63.26|| yadi vā kāryaṃ me tat te hṛdi kāryatamaṃ matam |

"If at all there is any affection in you for me now, you recognize your strengths and think what action is justified in your heart. You may nullify the evil that sprung from my heart."
It shows a conflicted ethic: seeking to remedy consequences through force rather than through truth-aligned restitution; dharma prioritizes correction rooted in satya.
Rāvaṇa presses Kumbhakarṇa to use his valor to neutralize the crisis created by Rāvaṇa’s own wrongdoing.
Kumbhakarṇa’s expected loyalty and courage are invoked; the verse spotlights the tension between familial duty and moral rightness.
