कुम्भकर्णविबोधनम्

The Awakening of Kumbhakarna

तमद्रिशृङ्गप्रतिमंकिरीटिनंस्पृशन्तमादित्यमिवाऽत्मतेजसा ।वनौकसःप्रेक्ष्यविवृद्धमद्भुतं 3 भयार्धितादुद्रुविरेततस्ततः ।।।।

tam adri-śṛṅga-pratimaṃ kirīṭinaṃ spṛśantam ādityam ivātma-tejasā |

vanaukasaḥ prekṣya vivṛddham adbhutaṃ bhayārditā dudruvire tatas tataḥ ||

Als sie ihn sahen — gekrönt, einem Berggipfel gleich, als berührte er mit eigenem Glanz die Sonne —, wundersam und zu ungeheurer Größe angewachsen, da stoben die vānaras, vom Schrecken bedrückt, auseinander und rannten nach allen Seiten.
