सवीरशोभामभजन्महाकपिःसमेत्यरक्षांसिनिहत्यमारुतिः ।महासुरंभीमममित्रनाशनःयथैवविष्णुर्बलिनंचमूमुखे ।।6.56.38।।
sa vīra-śobhām abhajan mahā-kapiḥ sametya rakṣāṃsi nihatya mārutiḥ |
mahā-suraṃ bhīmam amitranāśanaḥ yathaiva viṣṇur balinaṃ ca mūmukhe ||6.56.38||
Nachdem er in den Kampf eingetreten und die Rākṣasas erschlagen hatte, erstrahlte Māruti — der große Vānara, Vernichter der Feinde — in heldischem Glanz, wie Viṣṇu auf dem Schlachtfeld, nachdem er mächtige und furchterregende Asuras niedergeworfen hatte.
The Vanaras could not counter or stand nor fight in battle. What to say more? Shattered by Akampana's arrows, they all took to their heels.
