Malyavan’s Counsel, Portents in Laṅkā, and the Proposal of Alliance
ऋषीणामग्निकल्पानामग्निहोत्रासमुत्थितः ।।।।अदत्तेरक्षसांतेजोधूमोव्याप्यदिशोदश ।
ṛṣīṇām agnikalpānām agnihotrāsamutthitaḥ |
ādattē rakṣasāṃ tejo dhūmo vyāpya diśo daśa ||
Der Rauch, der aus dem Agnihotra der Rishis aufsteigt—die dem Feuer selbst gleichen—durchdringt die zehn Himmelsrichtungen und raubt den Rakshasas ihren Glanz.
"By the spread of smoke in different directions from the sacrificial fires from the oblations offered by the seers the brilliance of the Rakshasas is taken away."
