सीतासमीपगमनम् / Sītā Brought Near to Rāma

स उवाचमहाप्रामस्सोऽभिवाद्यप्लवङ्गमः ।रामंवचनमर्थज्ञोवरंसर्वधनुष्मताम् ।।।।
sa uvāca mahāprājñaḥ so 'bhivādya plavaṅgamaḥ |
rāmaṃ vacanam arthajño varaṃ sarvadhanuṣmatām ||6.117.1||
Jener Plavaṅgama, hochweise und des Sinnes kundig, verneigte sich ehrerbietig und sprach dann zu Rāma—dem Vorzüglichsten unter allen Bogenschützen—mit gehaltvollen Worten.
Highly learned Hanuman greeted and spoke meaningfully to Rama, the foremost among the wielders of bow.
Dharma of communication and hierarchy: one should speak with respect (abhivāda) and with meaningful, responsible words (arthavat vacana).
At the opening of the next chapter, Hanumān formally greets Rāma and begins his report.
