Ravana’s Funeral Rites and the Ethics of Post-War Conduct
धिगस्तुहृदयंयस्याममेदं न सहस्रधा ।।।।त्वयिपञ्चत्वमापन्नेफलतेशोकपीडितम् ।
dhig astu hṛdayaṁ yasyā mamedaṁ na sahasradhā |
tvayi pañcatvam āpanne phalate śokapīḍitam ||
Schande über dieses mein Herz, vom Kummer gepeinigt, dass es nicht in tausend Stücke zerbricht, da du doch den Zustand der fünf Elemente erreicht hast.
