FAQs

Adharma ‘invites’ its own punishment; Dharma restores the violated order. Truth is affirmed that wrongdoing toward the innocent rebounds upon the wrongdoer, while the righteous are ultimately reunited and relieved of grief.

After Rāvaṇa is slain, Mandodarī interprets the outcome: the abduction of Sītā became the cause of his death, and Sītā will return to Rāma free from sorrow.

Rāma’s steadfast righteousness (dharma-niṣṭhā) is implied: his cause prevails, leading to the restoration of Sītā’s well-being.
