चूडामणि
दर्शनम् — Rama Receives Sita’s Token and Questions Hanuman
किमाह सीता वैदेही ब्रूहि सौम्य पुनः पुनः।पिपासुमिव तोयेन सिञ्चन्ती वाक्यवारिणा।।।।
kim āha sītā vaidehī brūhi saumya punaḥ punaḥ |
pipāsum iva toyena siñcantī vākyavāriṇā ||
Was sprach Sītā, die Vaidehī? Sage es mir, Edler, immer wieder, mich mit dem Strom ihrer Worte benetzend, wie Wasser den Dürstenden belebt.
"O handsome Hanuman! Sita is like water for a thirsty person. Tell me again and again what Sita said to you. Sprinkle on me (life-giving) water of her words in the form of message.
Satya and dūta-dharma: the truthfully conveyed words of the virtuous sustain hope and guide righteous action.
Rama, longing for Sita, urges Hanuman to repeat her message, treating her words as life-restoring.
Rama’s tenderness and receptivity—he seeks truthful counsel and emotional strength through Sita’s speech.
