Sugrīva gelobte Rāma die gründliche Suche nach Sītā; und Rāma wiederum versprach Sugrīva, ihm die Königsherrschaft über das Reich der Vānara zu sichern.
"Sugriva promised Rama to undertake search for Sita and Rama assured Sugriva of securing him the kingdom of the monkeys.
Satya (truthfulness) expressed as keeping one’s vow: both parties bind themselves by promises—Sugrīva to search for Sītā and Rāma to restore rightful kingship—showing dharma as reliability and moral contract.
The verse summarizes the pact formed after Rāma meets Sugrīva: mutual commitments that set the course for the search mission and Vāli’s removal.
Integrity and reciprocity: the willingness to commit, and to repay help with just support (upakāra-pratyupakāra within dharma).
