'This Ravana has done many cruel, fierce and contemptible deeds. That is why eventhe demons, gods and all the people of this world get scared of him. He will render the entire world into a single ocean when he turns angry'.
Outer brilliance and royal insignia can conceal inner adharma; Dharma requires judging by conduct and character rather than splendor.
Inside Laṅkā, Hanumān observes Rāvaṇa in his palace, noting his regal appearance and ornaments.
Hanumān’s discernment and steadiness—he observes carefully without being overawed by material grandeur.
