Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal
"Ravana did not like to return me having fallen into the death trap. Death lies in wait for him in battle.
Adharma (Rāvaṇa’s refusal to restore what is not his) inevitably summons consequences; Time (kāla) and moral order bring downfall to wrongdoing.
In Aśoka-vana, Sītā speaks to Hanumān about Rāvaṇa’s obstinacy and foretells his destruction in war.
Sītā’s steadfastness and moral clarity—she interprets events through dharma and the certainty of justice.
