Transliteration

ito drakṣyāmi vaidehīṃ rāmadarśanalālasām | itaś cetaś ca duḥkhārtāṃ sampatantīṃ yadṛcchayā ||

Translation

«Von hier aus werde ich vielleicht Vaidehī erblicken, die nach Rāmas Anblick verlangt, wie sie, vom Kummer gequält, hierhin und dorthin umherirrt, wie es der Zufall fügt.»
