Hanuman’s Circuit of Ravana’s Palace and the Crisis of Deliberation
so ’haṃ naiva gamiṣyāmi kiṣkindhāṃ nagarīm itaḥ |
"I will not go to the city of Kishkinda from here or to Sugriva without finding Mythili. It will not be possible for me to face him.
Dharma as integrity in service: Hanumān refuses to return merely to report failure; truthful duty requires persevering until the entrusted purpose—finding Sītā—is achieved.
Hanumān decides he cannot go back to Kiṣkindhā or meet Sugrīva unless he has found Sītā.
Moral courage and steadfastness—he accepts hardship rather than an incomplete, shame-laden return.
