Von den beiden steht allein Lakṣmaṇa an der Tür, den Bogen in der Hand. Aus Furcht vor ihm zittern die Vānara und lassen ihre aufgeregten Rufe nicht verstummen.
'Of the two, only Lakshmana is standing at the entrance wielding his bow in hand. The monkeys are trembling in fear and running about, making a loud noise'.
Neglect of duty leads to accountability: righteous authority arrives to demand fulfillment of obligations, and fear arises naturally when one’s conduct has deviated from dharma.
Ministers describe Lakṣmaṇa waiting at the entrance, armed and visibly stern, while the palace monkeys panic.
Lakṣmaṇa’s disciplined readiness and decisive enforcement of duty on behalf of Rāma.
