Sugriva’s Remorse and Tara’s Lament after Vali’s Death
तस्मिन् क्षणेऽभीक्ष्णमवेक्ष्यमाणःक्षितिक्षमावान्भुवनस्य गोप्ता।रामो रुदन्तीं व्यसने निमग्नांसमुत्सुकः सोऽथ ददर्श ताराम्।।
tasmin kṣaṇe ’bhīkṣṇam avekṣyamāṇaḥ kṣitikṣamāvān bhuvanasya goptā |
rāmo rudantīṁ vyasane nimagnāṁ samutsukaḥ so ’tha dadarśa tārām ||
In jenem Augenblick bemerkte Rāma—Hüter der Welt, geduldig wie die Erde—Tārā, im Unglück versunken und weinend, die immer wieder zu ihm hinübersah; und er erblickte sie mit sorgender Anteilnahme.
In that moment, Rama,the protector of the world, tolerant like the earth, beheld Tara plunged in grief, looking at him again and again and weeping.
