Tārā’s Lament over Vāli
'Just like a cow followed by its calf would attend upon a mighty bull struck by a lion I will wait with my son upon you who have lost consciousness (died).
Steadfast loyalty and care for family—even when hope is gone—are upheld as dharmic responses to calamity and death.
Tārā declares she and Aṅgada will stay by Vāli’s body, expressing fidelity and grief through a pastoral simile.
Fidelity and protective care—Tārā’s commitment includes both spouse and child, emphasizing duty amid loss.
