शूद्रराज्ये च न वसेन्न पाखंडजनैर्वृते । हिमवद्विंध्ययोर्मध्यं पूर्वपश्चिमयोः शुभम्

śūdrarājye ca na vasenna pākhaṃḍajanairvṛte | himavadviṃdhyayormadhyaṃ pūrvapaścimayoḥ śubham

Man soll weder in einem Reich wohnen, das von einem Śūdra regiert wird, noch an einem Ort, der von ketzerischen, gottlosen Menschen umgeben ist. Glückverheißend ist das Land zwischen Himālaya und Vindhya, von Osten bis Westen sich erstreckend.
