FAQs

It prescribes performing an abhiṣeka (ritual bathing/ablution) using water that has flowed out from an anthill, followed by worship of the Pitṛs (ancestors) and the Devas (gods).

The verse states that one gains merit equal to the fruit of the Aśvamedha sacrifice (aśvamedha-phala).

It emphasizes reverence and gratitude—honoring both ancestors and deities—and teaches that sincere tīrtha-related ritual acts can yield great spiritual merit without requiring grand royal sacrifices.
