Concept: Merit yields proportionate, even unimaginably vast, results; a single dharmic act (vṛṣabha-utsarga) can generate extended residence in a divine realm.

Application: Treat ethical giving as long-term investment in character and destiny; small acts done with sincerity can have compounding effects beyond immediate visibility.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

H
Hara

FAQs

It refers to Śiva’s abode—symbolically a divine realm associated with Hara (Śiva), indicating an exalted post-mortem or spiritual residence granted by merit.

It is a hyperbolic Purāṇic measure meant to convey an extremely long duration, emphasizing the vastness of the spiritual reward described.

That certain meritorious acts (described in the surrounding chapter) yield immense spiritual फल (phala), portrayed here as prolonged residence in Śiva’s divine realm.
