Genealogy of the Ancestors (Pitṛs) and the Procedure of Śrāddha

विसृज्य विप्रान्प्रणतस्तेषां कृत्वा प्रदक्षिणम् । दक्षिणांदिशमाकांक्षन्पितॄनुद्दिश्य मानवः

visṛjya viprānpraṇatasteṣāṃ kṛtvā pradakṣiṇam | dakṣiṇāṃdiśamākāṃkṣanpitṝnuddiśya mānavaḥ

Nachdem er die Brāhmaṇas ehrerbietig entlassen, sich vor ihnen verneigt und sie in Pradakṣiṇā umschritten hatte, vollzog der Mann—nach Süden gewandt—die Handlung, die Pitṛs, die Ahnen, im Sinn.
