Narrator addressing a brāhmaṇa (dvija); specific named speaker not explicit in this verse alone

Concept: Regularity and right timing transform an isolated event into a sustained observance; Purāṇic religiosity privileges niyama (disciplined repetition) as the bridge from chance to dharma.

Application: If a practice is to be continued, align it with ethical standards and proper timing; build steady habits rather than impulsive acts.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"In a calmer aftermath, the maidservant recounts the entire incident with composed clarity, her hands gesturing as if narrating a remembered sequence. The brāhmaṇa listens intently, seated near the now-gentle fire, while ritual items are neatly arranged—suggesting that the chaotic moment has been folded into a repeatable routine. The atmosphere is one of explanation and the settling of events into habit.","primary_figures":["a maidservant (dāsī, storyteller)","a brāhmaṇa (listener)","Agni (quietly burning)"],"setting":"Orderly household shrine area; seated conversation; ritual implements aligned; sense of timekeeping (water clock/marked lamp) implied to evoke ‘yathākālam’.","lighting_mood":"golden dusk","color_palette":["warm ochre","soft gold","clay red","sage green","smoke gray"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: narrative tableau—dāsī explaining with graceful hand gestures, brāhmaṇa seated listening; subdued Agni behind with gold-leaf accents; ornate border, rich reds/greens, traditional jewelry and textiles, emphasis on orderly ritual objects.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate storytelling scene with delicate gestures and attentive listening; soft dusk light, fine architectural lines, gentle smoke, muted palette with warm highlights, lyrical calm.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, frontal composition; dāsī as narrator figure, brāhmaṇa as listener; symmetrical ritual arrangement; earthy reds and yellows with green accents, temple-wall storytelling aesthetic.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: storytelling framed by floral borders; central seated pair with stylized fire-lotus; decorative motifs indicating cyclical time (circular garlands, repeating patterns), deep blue and gold accents."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"serene","sound_elements":["soft tanpura drone","gentle bell at transitions","low fire crackle","evening birds","measured pauses marking ‘proper times’"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: तच्च = तत् + च; यथावृत्तं = यथा-वृत्तम् (अव्ययीभाव); यथाकालं = यथा-कालम् (अव्ययीभाव)

It suggests sincerity in reporting truthfully (“as it happened”) and steadiness in dharmic practice—doing what is to be done consistently and at the appropriate time.
