The Hymn to Gaṇapati

and the Rule of Worshipping Gaṇeśa First

श्रुत्वा मातृमुखादेवं वचः परमकोविदः । स्कंदस्तीर्थं ययौ सद्यः सर्वं त्रिभुवनस्थितं

śrutvā mātṛmukhādevaṃ vacaḥ paramakovidaḥ | skaṃdastīrthaṃ yayau sadyaḥ sarvaṃ tribhuvanasthitaṃ

Als Skanda, der höchst Weise, diese Worte aus dem Mund seiner Mutter vernommen hatte, brach er sogleich zum heiligen Tīrtha Skandas auf, einem in den drei Welten berühmten Heiligtum.
