FAQs

It prescribes offering or employing tulasī leaves in worship directed to Viṣṇu—especially in connection with Hari-emblems and śālagrāma stones.

The verse states that such tulasī-centered worship leads to Viṣṇu’s sāyujya—intimate union/communion with Viṣṇu, a liberation-fruit in Vaiṣṇava theology.

Śālagrāma-śilās are treated as especially sacred, iconic manifestations associated with Viṣṇu worship; the verse highlights tulasī-offering to them as particularly meritorious.
