Merit of Causeways and Crossings, Temple Construction Rewards, and the Rudrākṣa Mahātmya

तं दृष्ट्वाप्यथवा स्पृष्ट्वा नरः पूयेत कल्मषात् । यज्जप्यं तर्पणं दानं स्नानमर्चा प्रदक्षिणम्

taṃ dṛṣṭvāpyathavā spṛṣṭvā naraḥ pūyeta kalmaṣāt | yajjapyaṃ tarpaṇaṃ dānaṃ snānamarcā pradakṣiṇam

Schon durch seinen Anblick — ja selbst durch Berührung — wird der Mensch von der Befleckung der Sünde gereinigt. (Aus ihm erwachsen) Handlungen wie Rezitation, Tarpana—Wasserdarbringung für Götter und Ahnen, Almosen, rituelles Bad, Verehrung und ehrfürchtige Umrundung (Pradakṣiṇa).
