ब्रह्मा महर्षयस्तत्र देवास्सेन्द्रास्समागताः । ऋषयोंतर्हिताः प्रोचुर्नियमांस्ते सुदुष्करान्

brahmā maharṣayastatra devāssendrāssamāgatāḥ | ṛṣayoṃtarhitāḥ procurniyamāṃste suduṣkarān

Dort versammelten sich Brahmā, die großen ṛṣi und die Götter samt Indra. Dann verkündeten die Weisen, in Zurückgezogenheit versunken, jene Gelübde und Regeln (Niyamas), die äußerst schwer zu üben sind.
