Cosmic Time, Cycles of Creation and Dissolution, and the Varāha Uplift of Earth

मन्वंतरस्य संख्येयं मानुषैरिह वत्सरैः । चतुर्द्दशगुणो ह्येष कालो ब्राह्ममहः स्मृतम्

manvaṃtarasya saṃkhyeyaṃ mānuṣairiha vatsaraiḥ | caturddaśaguṇo hyeṣa kālo brāhmamahaḥ smṛtam

Die Dauer eines Manvantara ist hier in Menschenjahren zu berechnen; und eben diese Spanne, vierzehnfach vervielfacht, heißt der „Tag Brahmās“ (Brāhma-mahaḥ).
