Cosmic Time, Cycles of Creation and Dissolution, and the Varāha Uplift of Earth

ततः क्रुद्धेन वै स्रष्ट्रा क्रोधात्मानो विनिर्मिताः । वर्णेन कपिशेनोग्रा भूतास्ते पिशिताशिनः

tataḥ kruddhena vai sraṣṭrā krodhātmāno vinirmitāḥ | varṇena kapiśenogrā bhūtāste piśitāśinaḥ

Dann, als der Schöpfer in Zorn geriet, wurden Wesen hervorgebracht, deren eigenes Wesen Zorn war. Schrecklich an Gestalt und von fahlbrauner Farbe, waren jene Geister Fleischfresser.
