Brahmā’s Puṣkara Sacrifice and the Manifestation of Sarasvatī

with Tīrtha-Merit Teachings

दत्वा दानं द्विजातिभ्यो भांडानि विविधानि च । श्रुत्वा सरस्वतीं प्राचीं स्नातुकामा द्विजागताः

datvā dānaṃ dvijātibhyo bhāṃḍāni vividhāni ca | śrutvā sarasvatīṃ prācīṃ snātukāmā dvijāgatāḥ

Nachdem sie den Zweimalgeborenen Gaben dargebracht hatten, dazu Gefäße mancherlei Art, und von der ostwärts fließenden Sarasvatī gehört hatten, kamen die Brahmanen, vom Wunsch nach heiligem Bad erfüllt, dorthin.
