कालेनाग्रहणं दृष्ट्वा पुराणस्य तदा विभुः । व्यासरूपस्तदा ब्रह्मा संग्रहार्थं युगे युगे

kālenāgrahaṇaṃ dṛṣṭvā purāṇasya tadā vibhuḥ | vyāsarūpastadā brahmā saṃgrahārthaṃ yuge yuge

Als der Erhabene sah, dass das Purāṇa im Lauf der Zeit nicht mehr recht bewahrt wurde, nahm Brahmā die Gestalt Vyāsas an und stellte es zusammen, um es in jedem Zeitalter zu erhalten.
