Concept: During solar/lunar eclipses, one who has fasted on Ekādaśī should worship Kamalāpati with lotus garlands—uniting sacred time (tithi) and cosmic time (grahaṇa) in bhakti.

Application: On Ekādaśī (and especially if an eclipse occurs), intensify worship: mantra-japa, Viṣṇu-pūjā, charity; keep mind steady and compassionate rather than fearful.

FAQs

It recommends observing a fast on Ekādaśī and, at times of lunar or solar eclipse, worshipping Viṣṇu (Kamalāpati) with devotional offerings such as lotus garlands.

It frames spiritual merit around personal devotion—fasting (discipline) paired with pūjā (loving worship) directed to Viṣṇu as Kamalāpati, highlighting devotion expressed through ritual offering.

It teaches intentional self-restraint (fasting) and focused devotion (worship) during significant cosmic moments (eclipses), encouraging mindfulness and reverence rather than distraction or fear.
