Suta (narrating the Narada Purana account in Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that devotion (bhakti) combined with correct ritual method (vidhi) yields a definite spiritual fruit—Śiva-sālokya—while refining the worshipper’s capacity for disciplined restraint and compassionate grace.
Bhakti is presented as active and intentional: one worships “each separately” with focused reverence, showing that devotion is strengthened through attentive, non-mechanical practice aligned with scriptural procedure.
It emphasizes ritual correctness (vidhi), aligning with Kalpa (the Vedanga dealing with procedures of rites), where knowing the proper sequence and rules of pūjā is treated as spiritually consequential.
