The Greatness of Haridvāra
Gaṅgādvāra-māhātmya
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It equates sincere remembrance (smaraṇa) of the holy tirtha Gaṅgādvāra with the salvific power of remembering Hari at life’s end, teaching that inner recollection can confer sadgati even without physical proximity.
Bhakti is presented as smaraṇa-centered: holding Hari (and His sacred places) in mindful remembrance purifies the mind and leads to auspicious destiny, paralleling the classic doctrine of antakāla-smṛti (remembering God at death).
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught; the practical takeaway is sādhana through smaraṇa—regular mental recollection of Viṣṇu and tirtha-mahātmyas as a simple, portable devotional practice.
