FAQs

The verse states a clear phalaśruti: the performer of the prescribed dharmic act (in this tirtha/mahatmya context) gains Svarga (Indra’s realm) and is spared the experience of Naraka, symbolized by travel in a divine vimāna.

While framed as a reward statement, it supports the Purāṇic bhakti-dharma ethos: honoring sacred places and prescribed observances with faith yields divine protection and auspicious posthumous destiny, ultimately encouraging sustained devotion and righteous conduct.

No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is phala-oriented dharma—following the stated injunctions of the section (vidhi) to obtain the promised spiritual result (phala).
