Wahrlich, der Geist soll fest auf das Sterben in Prayāga ausgerichtet sein; denn dadurch wird das Verdienst von zehntausend Tīrthas und darüber hinaus von sechzig Krore heiliger Stätten erlangt.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It elevates Prayāga as an exceptionally powerful tīrtha, stating that fixing one’s intention toward attaining death there yields merit surpassing vast numbers of other pilgrimage sites, implying an intensified purification and liberation-oriented result.
While not explicitly naming bhakti, it reflects bhakti-oriented tīrtha theology: directing the mind (mati) toward a sacred Vishnu-aligned place like Prayāga is treated as spiritually transformative, emphasizing inner intention as the driver of sacred fruit.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is tīrtha-dharma—pilgrimage valuation and the primacy of mental resolve (saṅkalpa/mati) in religious practice.
