FAQs

It teaches that even internal worship—mentally remembering the Gaṅgā with purity and discipline—can grant the supreme spiritual goal, highlighting the power of sacred remembrance (smṛti) in tirtha-mahātmyas.

By emphasizing heartfelt contemplation rather than only external acts, it aligns with bhakti’s inner orientation: sincere remembrance of a sacred embodiment (Gaṅgā) becomes a direct means to the highest attainment.

It chiefly reflects kalpa-style practical dharma (purity, self-restraint, and approved conduct) and the discipline of manasa-japa/smaraṇa—an internalized ritual principle rather than a technical treatment of vyākaraṇa or jyotiṣa.
