Procedure for the Guḍa-dhenū (Jaggery-Cow) Gift; Ten Dhenu-dānas; Yearlong Gaṅgā Worship and Darśana
रत्नधेनुश्च नवमी दशमी तु स्वरूपतः । कुंभाः स्युर्द्रवधेनूनां चेतरासां तु राशयः ॥ २४ ॥
ratnadhenuśca navamī daśamī tu svarūpataḥ | kuṃbhāḥ syurdravadhenūnāṃ cetarāsāṃ tu rāśayaḥ || 24 ||
Die neunte ist die „ratna-dhenu“, die Edelstein-Kuh; die zehnte ist ihrem Wesen nach die „svarūpa-dhenu“, die Kuh der wesentlichen Gestalt. Für die flüssigen Kühe sind Kumbhas (Gefäße) die rechten Behälter; die übrigen Gaben aber sollen als Haufen (rāśis) aufgeschichtet werden.
